How much of your electricity bill is $$ spent running your pool pump?
Davey Water Products has released two new energy efficient pool pumps for the 2011 summer season. An outstanding 8 Star Energy Efficiency rating is offered by the Davey PowerMaster® ECO series whilst the renowned Davey Silensor® new ECO series offers a 6 Star Energy Efficiency rating.
This means up to 70% saving on running costs over traditional pool pumps.
Davey PowerMaster ECO series
Davey PowerMaster ECO series is an ingenious three-speed, brushless DC motor pool pump offering a choice of setting to suit the required application. Davey Market Manager, Pool & Spa Mark LeGrew notes “this provides the capacity to choose between ECO Flow, Mid Flow and High Flow modes of operation giving you the ability to maximise the efficiency of operation whilst still being effective for all pool tasks”.
The ECO Flow mode is specifically designed for pool filtration, whilst Mid Flow can be used for automatic pool cleaning, water feature and general operation with High Flow for backwashing of filters. Unlike some other 3 speed pumps on the market, the PowerMaster ECO will run your pool cleaner with ease.
The PowerMaster is popular for its robust and high performance capabilities, which are all retained in the ECO series confirms Mr LeGrew, “whilst it also featuring a large leaf basket, auto reset thermal protection, easy to use flow setting controls and a 3 Year Davey Guarantee”. The PowerMaster ECO series also runs very quietly at only 60.2 dBa on ECO flow.
Davey Silensor ECO series
Like the renowned original, the Davey Silensor ECO series uses a unique water-silenced motor design so it can operate any time of night and allow off-peak power usage, without disturbing the neighbours.
Mr LeGrew notes that “this will add further cost savings to this already energy efficient 6 star pump”.
With enough power to backwash a 25” Media Filter and run an automatic pool cleaner, the performance will satisfy the toughest critic.
The Davey Silensor ECO series pumps are available in two models to cover smaller pools whilst also being able to handle the larger residential pools. The larger model features a huge leaf basket and both pumps provide manual overload with a built-in thermostat to prevent dry run damage and lower emissions output than traditional pool pumps.
Mr LeGrew says “with all these features and best in class energy efficiency, Davey has an ECO series pool pump to suit your needs, and save you money”.
